Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Healthcare Cleaners for Part-time weekend shifts (12 hours/week). Duties include cleaning wards and clinical areas to NHS standards, with training provided.

The role supports safe, efficient patient care and service delivery across our hospital sites. This position offers part-time hours with a pro rata salary and a commitment to equality and inclusion across a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Good general education (incl. basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills).
• Knowledge of Health and Safety policies (COSHH, infection control).

Responsibilities

• Clean designated wards and clinical areas to NHS standards.
• Work alone or as part of a team.
• Maintain high cleaning standards per National Specifications for NHS cleanliness.
• Change curtains, screens and bed curtains.
• Induction training will be provided.
