Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and your area of responsibility.
• Importance of environmental hygiene for patient, visitor and staff safety.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Training/knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment.
• Manual Handling training.
• Working understanding of hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across floors, furniture, fittings, walls, partitions and doors.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely to achieve required standards.
• Handle and dispose of domestic and clinical waste per procedures.
• Replenish essential supplies (paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, moisturiser and gel).
• Complete cleaning duties per schedules and adapt to meet clinical needs.
• Record full cleans and other cleaning activities.
• Communicate with Supervisors, patients, visitors and staff to maintain standards.
