Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Healthcare Cleaners to join our Domestic Services Team. You will perform a range of cleaning duties across wards and clinical areas, adhering to the National Specifications for cleanliness in the NHS to ensure a safe, efficient and effective environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Varied hours include weekend posts (Saturday and Sunday 7am–1:30pm).

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning standards including wards and outpatient/clinical areas.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high cleaning standards to wards observing schedules and NHS cleanliness requirements.
• Change curtains, screens and bed curtains as needed.
• Damp wipe all furniture, fixtures, fittings, ledges, pipes, tiles, glass partitions, walls, doors and panels, internal blinds.
