Bucks and Berks Recruitment is supporting a private healthcare organisation in appointing a Billing Manager to lead a small team and centralise the billing function. The role is hands-on at first, with progression to managing a growing clinic network.

You will own credit control, learn healthcare billing basics from experienced colleagues, and drive standardised, scalable processes. An eye for automation and AI is desirable as the function expands.

• Ensure accurate and timely billing for insured and self-pay patients.
• Own credit control activities across Reading clinics.
• Understand insurer billing processes and tariff structures.
• Support billing queries and escalate issues.
• Document and standardise billing procedures across sites.
• Drive continuous improvements and streamline workflows.
• Develop and enhance Semble to improve efficiency.
• Implement scalable billing processes to support expansion.
• Lead, mentor and develop Billing and Finance Assistants.
• Conduct regular one-to-ones, appraisals and training.
• Foster collaborative, high-performing team culture.
• Assist with billing processes for new clinic locations.
• Work with Finance, Clinical and Operational teams to ensure all activity is billed correctly.
• Build relationships with insurers and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to wider business initiatives focused on efficiency and growth.
