Qualifications

• 1+ years PQE in NHS Resolution clinical negligence cases is desirable.
• Experience handling defendant clinical negligence matters.
• Experience with group litigation is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of high value Defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution.
• Provide expert legal advice on clinical negligence claims, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for Business Development with NHS Resolution and Trust clients.
• Assist with Trust client care matters as required.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of Clinical Negligence NHSRcases, as well as supporting on group litigationcases, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients.

This is a hybrid role with office attendance required that can be flexible. We are open to considering candidates that are based in the vicinity of following office locations - Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Southampton or London.

• Previous experience in Group Litigation cases is preferrable.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
