Runnymede Hospital in Chertsey seeks a Healthcare Assistant to join the Wards team on a part-time 22.5-hour per week basis. The role involves supporting patients with personal care, nutrition and mobility, while maintaining dignity and confidentiality. Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility while respecting dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and recording intake as appropriate.
• Record routine observations (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, SpO2 and blood glucose after training).
• Report concerns about a patient’s condition promptly to the nurse or clinician.
• Document care provided and observations clearly in records or EHRs.
• Ensure confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies.
• Follow infection control procedures, PPE use and environmental cleaning standards.

Salary: Up to £26,262.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Wards department.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Report any concerns about a patient's condition or wellbeing promptly to the Registered Nurse or relevant clinician.
• Record care provided and patient observations clearly and accurately on appropriate documentation systems or electronic health records.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and environmental cleaning standards.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalation concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
