Job summary

Circle Health in Coventry is inviting applications for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Theatre team on a full-time 37.5-hour contract. You will support patients through their surgical pathway, help prepare theatres and ensure a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical or healthcare support role.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe theatre environment through stock control and timely equipment turnover.

We have an opportunity for an Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Theatre department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include:

• Assist in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department, supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway.
• Prepare theatres for procedures, including equipment checks, stock preparation, and ensuring the environment is clean and ready.
• Engage with patients in a respectful, dignified, and empathetic manner, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Maintain a high standard of personal conduct and clinical care in accordance with CHG policies and the HCA framework.
• Take responsibility for developing your own clinical and technical skills through training, mentorship, and reflection.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient theatre environment through stock control, timely equipment turnover, and adherence to clinical standards.
• Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare support role.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
• Willingness to undertake training and competency development in theatre-specific care.
• Understanding of infection control, safeguarding, and basic health and safety principles.
