Working Patterns: 26 hours per week available at the above locations

Competitive salary: DHU Band 2.0 (£23,615 per annum (pro rata))

What your typical day looks like:

1. Carrying out direct patient care duties under the direction and supervision of trained nursing/medical staff.
2. Undertaking further training to carry out and extend skills e.g. basic wound closure, recording ECGs, urinalysis as directed by qualified nursing staff.
3. May potentially be required to provide swabbing services as part of the division's Covid-19 services.
4. Offering reassurance to vulnerable patients whilst in the centre.
5. Assist in general administrative and clerical duties and maintain manual/computerised records as required.
6. To comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices and to be responsible for keeping up to date with any changes to these.
7. Provide assistance to new members of staff to ensure the maintenance of a high-quality service.
8. Attend training and meetings as and when required to do so by Management.

To be a successful Healthcare Assistant you'll need:

1. Good basic education.
2. 5 GCSE's including English Language & Mathematics, or equivalent.
3. Previous experience of working in a clinical environment.
4. Previous reception experience.
5. Sound employment record & Good attendance record.
6. Basic IT literacy.
7. Good telephone skills.
8. Excellent & accurate record keeping.
9. Good standard of literacy & numeracy.
