Job summary

Prometheus Safe & Secure Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Part-time Ambulance Care Assistant to support safe patient transfers and mental health care in collaboration with NHS and other partners.

You will assist qualified nurses, provide compassionate care, respond to emergencies, drive when required, and complete handovers with accurate documentation while upholding safeguarding policies and dignity for patients at all times.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS clearance for adults and children.
• Full UK driving licence covering manual and automatic with 6 or fewer points.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified nurses in the safe transfer of patients.
• Deliver compassionate care and maintain dignity and comfort at all times.
• Provide crisis intervention for patients with mental health difficulties.
• Drive ambulances when required and ensure safe journeys.
• Complete handovers and essential paperwork with accurate risk histories.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and follow safeguarding policies.
