Job summary

Prometheus Safe & Secure is recruiting a Health Care Assistant to provide compassionate care during patient transfers and in care settings across the UK. You will support nurses, drive ambulances when needed and respond to crises, while maintaining documentation and safeguarding vulnerable individuals with professionalism.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, Enhanced DBS and the legal right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (auto and manual) with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• A valid Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality, compassionate care during patient transfers and in care settings.
• Supporting qualified nurses in the safe transfer of patients.
• Driving Prometheus ambulances when required.
• Responding effectively to crises and emergencies.
• Completing clear and accurate documentation in line with procedures.
• Safeguarding vulnerable adults and children in accordance with policy.
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment to required standards.
• Leading a team during informal patient transfers when needed.
