Job summary

Circle Health Group in Coventry is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for the Outpatients department. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary up to £27,000 per year, depending on experience, training and qualifications.

You will support patients with hygiene, mobility and nutrition, perform routine observations, and assist with basic clinical procedures. You will work alongside nurses, doctors, therapists and administrative staff to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care and mobility needs.
• Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation and blood glucose levels (after training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, catheter care, pressure area prevention and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds and equipment in readiness for patient use.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Outpatientsdepartment.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
