Circle Health Group operates The Meriden Hospital in Coventry, delivering private healthcare across a nationwide network. A Healthcare Assistant is needed in the Outpatients department to support patients, carers and clinical teams in delivering safe, compassionate care.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a flexible shift pattern, requiring high standards of dignity, respect and patient-centred care.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care desirable.

The Meriden Hospital in Coventry is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.
