Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Rainham. The role focuses on routine clinical duties, patient flow, and assisting with day-to-day treatment room activity within a friendly primary care team.

Responsibilities include observations (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2), phlebotomy if trained, ECGs, updating patient records, and supporting clinicians. DBS enhanced is required; NHS experience preferred; ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions.

Qualifications

• Must have prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS in place.
