Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Health Care Assistant to support a GP practice in Folkestone. You will perform routine clinical duties, monitor patients, and assist with general day-to-day treatment room activity within a structured primary care environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform observations: BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2.
• Assist with treatment room procedures and ECGs.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required

Requirements

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS
• Phlebotomy experience desirable
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations
• Good communication and patient interaction skills
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation
• Enhanced DBS
