Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum HCA to support a GP practice in Poole. This role suits a proactive Healthcare Assistant who can assist with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will be part of an organized primary care environment, helping manage patient flow, supporting core clinical duties and delivering high-quality care.

Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions are available with morning and afternoon slots to fit your availability.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
