We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, a closed female prison located in South Gloucestershire.

HMP Eastwood Park is a closed female prison that can accommodate 442 inmates.

Hours

07:00 - 15:00, operational 7 days a week; you will be on a rota basis, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary

This full-time position offers an annual salary up to £30,684 (FTE), depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities include:

• Taking bloods, observations, and helping administer medications under nurse supervision
• Supporting the registered nurse in implementing care plans, promoting safe patient care
• Developing and applying new skills to enhance clinical service delivery

Qualifications required

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care

Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is desirable but not essential.
