Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support the Registered Nurse in delivering patient care. You will help with hygiene, feeding, comfort, and building rapport with designated patient groups while prioritising care and maintaining clear documentation of all activities.

You will monitor patient wellbeing, report changes to the RN, and ensure patient dignity with tact and empathy in daily interactions.

Description du poste

Main Duties: Responsible for the maintenance of your own skills and competencies required to undertake the role. Assist the Registered nurse (RN) in the delivery of care to a designated patient group, demonstrating an ability to prioritise such care. Determine the comfort of patients by talking and listening to them and building up a rapport. Assist in providing personal hygiene of patients who are unable to do so themselves, including washing, bathing and assistance with using the toilet. Assessing patients' health safety and wellbeing, escalating to appropriate colleagues if required Assist in feeding/ giving drinks to patients who are unable to do so for themselves and complete food and fluid charts where necessary. Ensure patient dignity supporting patients with tact, empathy, and persuasion. Ensure that all care provided by yourself is documented appropriately. Report any changes in patient condition to the RN.
