Introduction

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker seeking control and flexibility in your shifts? Whether you're looking for extra income or a job that fits around your lifestyle, you can join our staff bank at Ann House in Kendal. After completing a paid two-week induction, you'll have access to shifts at Ann House and potential future opportunities to work regionally across other Elysium services.

There is no minimum hours requirement, but working regularly is recommended to maintain your knowledge and familiarity with the service.

Shifts are available on weekdays, nights, and weekends, easily viewable and bookable through our app. Within a few taps, you can secure the shifts you want.

Whether your experience comes from the NHS or private sector, you can join as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift for annual leave, along with benefits such as free meals on duty, free parking, and more.

What you will be doing

You will join a team providing care for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker will support individuals to lead valued and fulfilled lives.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5-hour shifts. As a bank Healthcare Assistant, you'll work on a zero-hour contract, choosing your shifts each week.

Ann House provides specialized support for individuals with challenging behavior and high needs, aiming to promote independence and quality of life in a structured, supportive environment. The service encourages independence, access to mainstream services, and engagement in work, training, leisure, and personal interests. The long-term goal is to facilitate a move to more independent living.
