Circle Health Group’s Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is hiring a Healthcare Assistant for a 36-hour-per-week role with permanent status. The post requires flexible shift patterns and delivers opportunities to support patient care in a private hospital network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care and mobility needs.
• Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, documenting intake.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives.
• Record routine observations such as BP, pulse, respiration, temp, O2 saturation, glucose.
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup and catheter care.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, trolleys, beds and equipment.
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support patient care.

Healthcare Assistant Ross Hall Hospital 36 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £26,763.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff. This is a part- time role for 36 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
