Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Services Limited, The Burren, is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our expanding team in South Bristol. You will support residents with rehabilitation and daily living, working with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and monitor wellbeing.

We offer a 38.5-hour week across day and night shifts with weekend rotation, plus a benefits package, Living Wage employer status, and a £500 welcome bonus to new staff.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience in rehabilitation, active discharge, recovery, re-enablement or case management settings (essential)
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams including occupational health therapists, physio therapists, GP, social workers
• Knowledge of person-centred and recovery-focused approaches
• Understanding of rehabilitation pathways
• Strong observation skills and confidence monitoring and reporting progress
• Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• A caring, compassionate, and patient-centred approach
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

Cornerstone Healthcare is seeking experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our award-winning team at The Burren.

The Burren is a newly built, purpose-designed service in South Bristol that specialises in supporting individuals with complex neurological conditions, complex dementia, mental health needs, and rehabilitation and recovery-focused requirements. We provide person-centred care that focuses on each resident's abilities, goals, and potential, helping them achieve the highest level of independence and quality of life possible.

What You'll Bring

Your Working Pattern

38.5 hours per week (12-hour shifts)

• 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the following week
• Day shifts: 07:45 - 19:45
• Night shifts: 19:45 - 07:45

Both day and night positions are available. Whilst we will consider your preference, rotation and weekend working will be required. Breaks are unpaid.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Healthcare Assistant at The Burren, you will:

• Support residents with recovery and rehabilitation goals
• Work alongside nurses, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to implement care and rehabilitation plans
