Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Services Limited is seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator for The Burren, a new purpose-built home in South Bristol. You will plan and run engaging activities for residents with varying care needs, while safeguarding their welfare and supporting family engagement.

The role requires commitment to quality activity provision, flexibility for weekend work, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar setting within the UK (essential)
• Positive attitude to residents and a commitment to provide stimulating, quality activities
• Ability to work alone as well as a team and form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
• Experience of working with residents who have additional support needs (essential)
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate activities for residents according to their needs, interests and abilities
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of residents
• Support residents and encourage participation in activities
• Keep appropriate records of activities and assessment forms
• Liaise with external organisations to organise days out/events at the home
• Work within the activities budget

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an experienced and passionate Activities Coordinator to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location South Bristol, providing high quality care & supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole persons unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.

What do you need?

What hours will you work?

Shift times: 09:30am until 18:00pm

You will work 5 shifts across a 7 day week. Weekend work is required.

42 hours per week (unpaid breaks)

What will you be doing?

• Supporting our residents and encouraging them to partake in activities
• Keeping appropriate records of activities and assessment forms
• Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home
• Working within agreed activities budget
