Job summary

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for Outpatients on a bank, part-time basis with weekend work. You will support consultants and nurses with procedures, and help keep the clinics running smoothly with patient-centred care.

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required, with relevant acute-hospital experience. Strong communication, IT literacy and a collaborative team spirit are essential to deliver high standards of care and development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
• Excellent communication and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy
• Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals
• Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities
• Make sure the day-to-day operations of our various clinics run smoothly
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care

As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients at our hospital, you'll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women's Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with speciality outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
