Job summary

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital in West Hampshire is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant to join Outpatients. You’ll support busy clinics, work with Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and other teams, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while delivering compassionate patient care.

You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, IT literacy and excellent communication. The role is ad-hoc bank style with weekend work and pays £13.10 per hour.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and IT literacy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy teams.
• Contribute to patient care and escort patients as needed.
• Help ensure day-to-day operations of outpatient clinics run smoothly.
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures such as dressings and wound care.

You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills.A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

As a Healthcare Assistant inOutpatients,you will:

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy
