Job summary

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant for Outpatients, including weekend shifts. Bank style, non-fixed hours with ad-hoc availability. Salary is £13.10 per hour and includes access to pension and gym discounts.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and experience in an acut e hospital or care setting. You will support a range of outpatient clinics and collaborate closely with clinicians to maintain smooth patient care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting is preferred.
• Must demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication.
• IT literacy and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in outpatient clinics and surgical areas.
• Support day-to-day clinic operations and patient flow.
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures and dressings as needed.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care in Outpatients.

As a HealthcareAssistant in Outpatients at our hospital,you’ll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills.A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

As a Healthcare Assistant inOutpatients,you will:

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy
• Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals
• Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities
• Make sure theday-to-dayoperations of our various clinics run smoothly
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care
