Job summary

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited is hiring a ComplexCare Assistant / Support Worker to empower clients at home. The role provides 2:1 complex care for a female client in her 50s recovering from a stroke, including mobility support and non-oral feeding management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of professional UK care experience.
• Experience in Complex Care is preferred but not required—full training provided.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.
• DBS check on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dignified personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with safe mobility and wheelchair transfers.
• Support nutrition, including non-oral feeding when required.
• administer medication safely after training.
• Monitor symptoms and communicate updates to the care team.
• Provide companionship and emotional support; maintain care plans.

Salary: GBP14 - GBP14 per hour + Pension

Job Title:ComplexCare Assistant / support worker

Pay:£14.00 per hour

Shifts: 3-4 shiftsper week (8 AM – 8 PM, 12-hour shifts) - Consistent 36-48 hrs/week - Partime Available 24h +

Complex care: PEG feeding, Epilepsy, Cerebrovascular disease, Level 5 diet, Level 2 fluid, Arthritis, pain, numbness, and 2:1 manual handling. (Complex experience preferred, not required)

In this dedicated role, you will provide 2:1 complex care support for an engaging female client in her 50s recovering from a life-changing stroke. She requires compassionate, tailored assistance with mobility (wheelchair user) and nutrition (non-oral feeding support), alongside skilled management for Epilepsy, Arthritis, and Cerebrovascular disease.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Dignified Personal Care:Delivering respectful, compassionate assistance (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Safe Mobility Support:Assisting with physical mobility and manual handling techniques (wheelchair transfers).
• Nutritional Management:Managing PEG feeding and specialized nourishment plans (Level 5 diet / Level 2 fluid).
• Medication Administration:Administering medication safely and accurately (full training provided).
• Complex Condition Care:Supporting complex medical needs, including Epilepsy, Arthritis, and Cerebrovascular disease.
• Symptom Monitoring:Helping monitor and manage symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, and sleep disruption.
• Companionship:Providing uplifting companionship, encouragement, and emotional reassurance.
• Documentation:Maintaining precise care plans and communicating updates promptly.

Who We're Looking For:

• Experience:A minimum of 6 months of professional UK care experience.
• Specialist Knowledge:Experience in Complex Care is preferred, but not essential—we provide full specialist training!
• Compliance:Valid Right to Work in the UK. ( We do not offer sponsorship)
• DBS Check:An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Personal Attributes:A warm, empathetic, and reliable approach to care delivery.
