Job summary

Leeds City College seeks a Course Leader of Health Science for the Access to HE team at Quarry Hill campus. This full-time role oversees the Health Science Level 3 programme, driving curriculum planning, resource development and student progression towards university and health sector careers.

You will lead teaching across biology, anatomy, physiology and study skills, deliver tutorials, and ensure high-quality TLA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biological Science or a related discipline and teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching FE at level 3, preferably adult learners on Access to HE courses.
• Excellent organisation, initiative and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to CPD and maintaining subject knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging sessions across biology, anatomy, physiology and study skills.
• Deliver tutorials on safeguarding, British values, Prevent and personal development.
• Collaborate to plan and develop schemes of work and assessment materials.
• Support quality assurance through marking, moderation and standardisation.
• Adapt teaching to diverse adult learners and track progress for retention.
