Leeds City College is seeking a dedicated Course Leader for Access to HE Health Science to oversee the delivery and quality of the Level 3 programme at Quarry Hill campus. You will drive curriculum planning, resources, and progression tracking to maximise student achievement.

Your leadership will champion an outstanding student experience, uphold teaching standards, and support adult learners toward university and health sector careers in an inclusive setting.

Competenze

• Degree in Biological Science or related vocational discipline.
• Experience teaching FE at level 3, adult learners on Access to HE courses.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Be highly organised and able to work effectively in a team.
• Committed to CPD and keeping subject knowledge up to date.
• Adopt restorative practices in communication with students and colleagues.

Mansioni

• Deliver sessions across biology, anatomy, physiology and study skills.
• Deliver tutorials on safeguarding, British values, Prevent, Personal Development and Wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the course team to deliver high-quality curriculum while developing new units.
• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work and teaching materials.
• Support quality assurance through marking, moderation and standardisation.
• Adapt teaching to diverse adult learners and foster inclusion.
• Record and track student progress to support retention.
• Inspire students to progress to higher education or apprenticeships.
• Engage with HEIs, Outreach Officers and Award Validating Agency.
