Leeds City College, part of Luminate Education Group, seeks a Course Leader for Health Science to lead the Access to Higher Education programme at Quarry Hill Campus. You will oversee management, delivery and academic quality for the Level 3 Health Science programme, currently five classes, driving curriculum planning and progress tracking to maximise student achievement.

Your leadership will uphold high teaching standards and enable adult learners to progress to university and health sector

Qualifications

• Degree in Biological Science subject or vocational discipline (e.g., Nursing).
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching FE at Level 3, preferably adult learners on Access to HE courses.
• Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development.

Responsabilités

• Deliver teaching sessions in biology, anatomy, physiology and study skills (classroom and lab).
• Deliver tutorials on safeguarding, British values, Prevent, Personal Development and Wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the course team to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery and develop new units.
• Plan and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials.
• Support quality assurance across assessments through marking, moderation and standardisation.
• Adapt teaching to diverse adult learner needs and foster an inclusive environment.
• Record and track student progress to support retention and progression.
