Job Overview

Working for a leading manufacturing firm, this is an integral role supporting both the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager and HR Manager. The role involves administrative and project responsibilities, providing a broad range of experience and opportunities to make a real difference.

Job duties:

• Log accidents, near misses, and employee and senior leadership observations.
• Assist the HSSE Manager in conducting risk assessments for both sites and maintaining the system.
• Take minutes of the HSSE Monthly Steering Meetings.
• Undertake COSHH assessments following full training.
• Carry out internal audits, particularly for First Aid rooms.
• Support supervisors with workplace inspections and maintain logs and actions on the H&S system.
• Assist in creating site Health & Safety Plans aligned with business objectives.
• Develop a training matrix and needs analysis, working with supervisors to ensure effective implementation.
• Assist the HR department in reviewing and revising induction processes and delivering training.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar HSE or training role.
• Experience using databases.
• Experience delivering basic training.
• Basic understanding of corporate sustainability.
