About Us

At Arbor, we're on a mission to transform the way schools work for the better.

We believe in a future of work in schools where being challenged doesn't mean being burnt out and overworked. Where data guides progress without overwhelming staff. And where everyone working in a school is reminded why they got into education every day.

Our MIS and school management tools are already making a difference in over 7,000 schools and trusts. Giving time and power back to staff, turning data into clear, actionable insights, and supporting happier working days.

At the heart of our brand is a recognition that the challenges schools face today aren't just about efficiency, outputs and productivity - but about creating happier working lives for the people who drive education everyday: the staff. We want to make schools more joyful places to work, as well as learn.

About The Role

We are looking for a friendly and engaging Customer Education Specialist to join our Customer Education team and help us provide expert guidance and support to educational institutions in optimising, using, and finding value from Arbor MIS.

The remit and focus of the role is to work closely with educational organisations to assess their needs and ensure effective utilisation of the MIS. The breadth of your role includes training and consulting with schools, but also supporting a range of managed services including troubleshooting issues, conducting system audits, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive efficiency and improve educational outcomes.

Core responsibilities

  • Deliver online and in-person training
  • Using professional knowledge, design and deliver services to schools, MATs and partners
  • Ability to pitch training and consultancy appropriately to users and partners and deliver this in a concise way which is understood by the recipients, allowing a range of users to become confident in their required areas of the system as they start their Arbor Journey
  • Having an in-depth understanding of Arbor's functionality, features, best practice and being able to articulate these to customers to help them get the most out of their use of Arbor
  • Delivery of managed services for schools and partners including (but not limited to) setups of new school years, assessments, behaviour, custom reports etc
  • Keeping up to date with a fast paced product, including updates, changes to legislation and adapting to new processes as we scale
  • To own materials used for training and keep these relevant
  • Ability to self-reflect, feeding back to relevant members of the team internally an overview of the session and any outstanding actions to ensure the customer receives a well rounded experience
  • Regular travel to national client sites and Arbor offices as needed

Requirements

Beyond that, we'd love to see:

  • Ability to understand and articulate technology to a range of individuals, including non-technical users
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential
  • Have a positive approach to learning new things, troubleshoot potential issues and help provide solutions
  • Experience with Financial Systems, Arbor or other Management Information Systems would be desirable
  • Friendly, eager to get stuck in and always willing to help
  • Good sense of humour and able to inspire others
