Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a Health and Safety Assistant to support the delivery of health, safety and welfare arrangements across the Housing and Assets service. Working with the Health and Safety Lead Officer, you will help ensure statutory duties are met and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

The role involves inspections, records, incident investigations, compliance monitoring and assisting with health and safety training.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in health and safety, with IOSH or NEBOSH training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support inspections and audits across Housing and Assets.
• Maintain health and safety records and assist with incident investigations.
• Help monitor compliance activities and contribute to health and safety training and guidance for managers and employees.
