Job summary

South Lakes Housing is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to oversee safety compliance across maintenance activities. The role is full-time (37 hours per week) with hybrid working options and a salary up to £50,204 per annum.

You will monitor health & safety compliance, advise frontline teams and contractors, and manage risks arising from repairs, maintenance, and capital works. This role supports safe delivery under CDM 2015 across housing properties.

Paul and the Property Operations directorate are looking for a full time Health & Safety Officer to help maintain safety compliance across all maintenance activities

37 hours per week

Up to £50,204 per annum

To provide competent health & safety and CDM support to Property Services by monitoring compliance, advising frontline teams and contractors, and helping to manage risks arising from repairs, maintenance, compliance activity and capital works. The role supports safe delivery of construction and maintenance activity in occupied homes and operational environments, ensuring duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 are met.

To ensure all maintenance activities across housing properties comply with health and safety legislation, regulation and organisational standards. The role focuses on contractor management, safe systems of work, and risk control during repairs, servicing, and planned maintenance projects.
