Job summary

JD Sports Fashion is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to develop, implement and monitor H&S policies across the organisation and ongoing projects. You will maintain ISO 45001 accreditation, ensure compliance with UK legislation, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail and site-based environment.

Lead a team, train and support management and employees, manage CDM requirements where applicable, and promote a positive safety culture while coordinating with contractors

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice.
• Experience in audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Proven ability to lead H&S initiatives and promote a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, providing daily support on H&S matters.
• Develop, implement and maintain the H&S management system.
• Maintain ISO 45001 accreditation and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Monitor policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance on dangerous goods, CDM requirements, and PUWER compliance.
• Lead training programmes and manage contractor safety assessments.
