Job summary

ScottishPower UK PLC in Glasgow seeks a Health and Safety Manager to lead the development and execution of the health and safety policy and strategy. You will partner with Directors, executives, contractors and employees to drive world-class performance across the business.

You will implement and improve the H&S management system for both operational and construction activities, promote a proactive safety culture, and deliver enhanced data insights using Power BI.

Qualifications

• Degree level or comparable experience.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• ISO 45001/45003 knowledge.
• Understanding of renewable value chain processes.
• Ability to influence at all levels and with external stakeholders.
• Facilitation, mentoring and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of health and safety policy, strategy and operating plan.
• Drive continuous improvement of H&S management system for operations and construction.
• Promote proactive safety culture through leadership, audits and investigations.
• Lead H&S reporting and develop data insights and dashboards (Power BI).
• Manage budgets and improvement plans; deliver against targets.
• Collaborate with Occupational Health, government bodies and partners; coach Health and Safety Consultants.
