Job summary

Supply Star Recruitment Limited is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to promote a safe and compliant working environment across the organisation. You will help implement policies, provide training, and support managers in applying risk controls.

The role requires a NEBOSH Diploma or Level 4 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, with travel across Warwickshire and occasional site-based advice at crime scenes. A proactive attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bespoke knowledge of health and safety practices and their practical application.
• Proven ability to write and explain policies and procedures clearly.
• Experience delivering training and guidance to staff and managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Estates and HSQE Manager to monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Provide health and safety advice, guidance and training to employees and managers.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions appropriate reporting to HSE where required.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to managers and staff in the completion and review of high-quality risk assessments and workplace inspections, ensuring health and safety risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed across the organisation.
• Develop, review, and update health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.
