Job summary

IWFM is seeking a Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to own H&S and facilities across a Leicestershire site. The role focuses on policy development, risk assessment, audits, and contractor management to ensure compliance and safe day‑to‑day operations.

You will lead inductions and training, oversee RAMS, and drive incident investigations while maintaining records and updating procedures as regulations evolve.

  • Experience leading site audits and inspections to mitigate risk.
  • Strong incident investigation and corrective action skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with current regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments for employees, workstations and job roles, ensuring effective control measures are in place.
  • Lead site audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near–misses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety, hazardous material handling, noise regulations and machinery safeguarding.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions and ongoing training for staff, including fire marshalling and first aid.
  • Recommend and oversee the use of PPE where required.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance, including fire alarm systems, HVAC, electrical infrastructure and security systems.
  • Manage external contractors, ensuring RAMS are provided and reviewed before work begins.
  • Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, inspections, incident reports and maintenance logs.
  • Monitor legislative changes and update policies and procedures accordingly.

Health, Safety & Facilities Manager

Location: Leicestershire Salary: Competitive Hours: Days, 8:00am 4:30pm Sector: Manufacturing / Warehouse

Our client, a well–established and highly respected manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to join their Operations team on a permanent basis. This is an urgent requirement, so early applications are strongly encouraged.

You’ll take ownership of health, safety and facilities compliance across the site, playing a key role in keeping the workforce safe while supporting the smooth day–to–day running of the business.

The Role

As Health, Safety & Facilities Manager, you will:

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Health, Safety & Facilities Manager (or similar) within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
  • IOSH General Certificate required
  • NEBOSH qualification advantageous, or strong practical health and safety experience
  • Facilities or maintenance management experience desirable
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
  • Sound understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • A positive, proactive, can–do attitude
