Job summary

CV Technical is looking for an H&S Advisor to join a growing manufacturing business in Leicestershire. You will work closely with the HSE Coordinator to maintain high safety standards and promote a strong safety culture across multiple sites.

The role requires practical, hands-on approach, strong communication, and willingness to travel between sites. A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification would be advantageous, with a permanent, day-based schedule Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels.
• Willingness to travel between sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Coordinator with safety standards across sites.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and safety checks.
• Assist with risk assessments and COSHH tasks.
• Support investigations into accidents and near-misses.
• Identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Provide health & safety guidance to employees and management.
• Maintain H&S documentation and compliance systems.
• Assist with toolbox talks, inductions and training.
• Monitor policy compliance and relevant legislation.
• Travel between sites to provide hands-on H&S support.

We are currently recruiting for an H&S Advisor to join a growing manufacturing business based in Leicestershire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to develop their career within a multi-site manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the HSE Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day Health & Safety support across multiple sites, helping to maintain high standards of compliance and promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Coordinator with the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety standards across multiple sites.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety checks.
• Assist with risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments.
• Support accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
• Help identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide Health & Safety guidance and support to employees and management.
• Assist with maintaining H&S documentation, records and compliance systems.
• Support the delivery of toolbox talks, inductions and safety training.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
• Travel between sites as required to provide hands-on H&S support.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or similar operational environment and have a genuine interest in developing their Health & Safety career.

You will be:

• Practical and hands-on in your approach.
• Confident communicating with people at all levels.
• Comfortable working across multiple sites.
• Organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving Health & Safety issues.
• Keen to develop and take on additional responsibility.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent would be advantageous.
