Job summary

VANRATH is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Lisburn to appoint a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will drive best practice in health, safety and environmental standards, delivering improvements and audits across the business.

You'll bring NEBOSH and solid HSE experience in manufacturing, plus strong stakeholder engagement and data-driven reporting. A supportive team and opportunities for development are on offer.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Certificate and Level 3 safety qualification required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing/engineering/operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems.
  • Experience with audits, investigations and compliance activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Q-Pulse or similar systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement of Quality and HSE management systems
  • Monitor compliance with policies, standards, and regulations
  • Advise managers and stakeholders on legislation and best practices
  • Lead internal audits and support external review activities
  • Investigate incidents and non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective actions
  • Produce reports, safety alerts, and performance metrics
  • Support change management and ongoing improvement projects
  • Promote a safety-first culture across the organisation

About you
  • NEBOSH Certificate and a minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification
