Job summary

Müller Milk & Ingredients is seeking an HSE Advisor to join the Severnside Dairy team in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. You will support compliance with HSE legislation and internal policies, conduct risk assessments, and drive a positive safety culture across the site.

The role requires a proactive, collaborative approach to promote safe behaviours, coordinate programmes, and contribute to audits and inspections while maintaining documentation and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate is essential.
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management is advantageous.
• Proven experience conducting HSE audits and supporting compliance activities.

Responsibilities

Job description

Join our Severnside Dairy team located in Stonehouse, Gloucester as an HSE Advisor and help shape a positive, engaging, and responsible safety culture, ensuring our people go home safe every day.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll influence and support teams across the site, driving positive safety behaviours, ensuring compliance, and delivering meaningful improvements.

What you'll be doing

You'll support compliance with HSE legislation and Müller Milk & Ingredients policies, carry out risk assessments and legal audits and work closely with teams across the site to promote best practice and maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Other duties will include:

• championing behavioural safety and driving colleague engagement across the site
• coordinating HSE programmes, monitoring key metrics and supporting performance reporting
• maintaining HSE systems, documentation and health surveillance schedules
• supporting external audits, regulatory inspections and compliance activities
• investigating incidents, identifying root causes and close out corrective actions
• delivering HSE inductions, training and awareness initiatives
• Deputise for the HSE Manager when required.

What we're looking for

• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management would be advantageous.
• Practical, proactive approach with a passion for health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Proven experience conducting HSE audits and supporting compliance activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Confident delivering training, coaching colleagues and promoting positive safety behaviours.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using SHE management systems such as SharePoint and EcoOnline.
• Organised, solutions focused and approachable.
