Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager for our National Distribution Centre in Four Ashes, Wolverhampton. You will ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulation, promote a strong safety culture and reduce workplace risks across our national distribution operations.

Reporting to senior management, you will develop and maintain H&S policies, lead behavioural safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments and audits, and deliver training.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or working towards.
• Experience in a health and safety management role within distribution/warehousing/logistics.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Proven track record in implementing and managing H&S policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• IT proficiency with health and safety reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive health and safety initiatives to foster a proactive safety culture across the distribution centre.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, site audits, and inspections, identifying hazards and implementing control measures.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety law, ensuring incidents are reported, investigated and corrective actions taken.
• Provide training, coaching and guidance to employees and management on health and safety protocols.
• Manage accident and incident reporting processes and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with HR, operations and external stakeholders to embed health and safety strategies.
