Job summary

Logstrup is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to lead the safety function at its Worsley site in Salford. This brand-new role offers autonomy to establish policies, procedures and processes across manufacturing and warehousing operations, working closely with the Site Manager to drive compliance and a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate will hold NEBOSH or IOSH, have UK legislative expertise, and hands-on manufacturing experience, including audits, risk assessments and incident

Qualifications

• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSEQ qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and HSE requirements.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures and systems.
• Ability to identify risks, recommend improvements and implement practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage across management levels.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of health and safety across the site and implement policies and safe systems of work.
• Develop and maintain risk assessments, method statements and essential safety documentation.
• Establish effective safety management processes and drive compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Site Manager and teams to raise safety standards.
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture throughout the business.
• Monitor compliance and identify opportunities to improve health, safety and environmental performance.
• Provide practical health and safety guidance to employees and management.
