Job summary

Bombardier’s Biggin Hill site invites applications for a Health and Safety Apprentice to support SHE activities while completing the Technician Level 3 apprenticeship. You will gain practical experience in workplace health, safety and environmental management, assisting with inspections, training administration, reporting and employee engagement activities.

The role develops knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a competent SHE professional and offers exposure to continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Strong interest in Health, Safety and Environmental management.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Professional, approachable and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate health, safety and environmental records, reports and documentation.
• Monitor and track safety actions, incidents, near misses and employee concerns.
• Support the coordination of health & safety training, inductions and awareness programmes.
• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the organisation.
• Participate in workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Assist with hazard identification and implementation of control measures.
• Support incident investigations and communicate lessons learned.
• Liaise with employees, contractors and stakeholders to encourage safe practices.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety communications and presentations.
