KBR in the Sellafield area seeks a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to lead an integrated HS&W framework across major projects and contractors.
The role is Cumbria-based, co-located Westlakes and across Sellafield, coordinating learning reviews, audits, and assurance activities to ensure a joined-up approach to health, safety and wellbeing. Strong stakeholder collaboration and governance are essential.
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager works within the central Integrator EHSSQ team, supporting the Programme and Project Partners partnership at Sellafield. The role is Cumbria co-located in Westlakes (Banna Court) and across the Sellafield site and is focused on ensuring that health, safety, and wellbeing arrangements across major projects and principal contractors are aligned, consistent, and experienced as a single, joined-up approach. The role will be responsible for managing the Learning review process for PDD; ensuring effective factfinders, learning reviews, leadership intervention calls, incident review boards and peer review. A key challenge within the partnership is the existence of multiple wellbeing and safety initiatives across individual projects and contractors. This role will provide coordination, assurance, and leadership to ensure these initiatives are integrated into a coherent, consistent framework that supports safe, healthy, and productive working across the programme. In addition to the integrator function, the role includes routine health and safety advisory activities, assurance-based compliance work, and day-to-day operational responsibilities supporting the effective management of health, safety, and wellbeing arrangements.
The partnership is delivering a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities. KBR's rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UK's nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes. KBR was recently named a 'Great Place to Work-Certified' company, an honour that underscores the company's commitment to being a UK employer of choice for people who want to do work that matters.
