Job summary

United Utilities in Warrington is seeking a Health & Safety Performance & Insights Analyst to join the Health & Safety team and drive improved safety through high‑quality data, insight and reporting.

You will work with the Head of H&S Management Systems and the Performance & Reporting Specialist to develop performance metrics, produce clear management information, and support decision making with a focus on continuous improvement and governance across the UU H&S strategy.

Qualifications

• Interest in data analytics and performance improvement.
• Ability to interpret data and present information clearly.
• Good interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Basic understanding of data management principles.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify leading and lagging indicators that support H&S management system implementation and track performance against plans.
• Produce performance dashboards, reports, and analysis in line with SLAs.
• Analyse H&S data to identify good practice, improvement opportunities, and intervention areas.
• Support development and maintenance of H&S performance metrics tracking critical controls and team performance.
• Use AI and data sources to detect patterns, risks and trends.
• Provide advice on health and safety data, reporting methodologies, and system requirements.
• Contribute to wider H&S improvement programmes and initiatives.
• Ensure all work complies with policies, procedures, and data governance standards.
