Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor Civils / Construction to join a Birmingham-based civil engineering contractor delivering projects across the West Midlands. The role covers site-based H&S support on live civil works, with training and progression opportunities.

The ideal candidate will conduct regular site visits, audits, RAMS reviews and safety briefings, collaborating with project teams and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Hold a health & safety qualification relevant to construction and civils
• Experience applying H&S principles on civil/infrastructure sites is preferred
• Ability to review RAMS and site safety documentation
• Comfortable working in a site-based role and meeting safety targets

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site visits, inspections and H&S audits
• Provide practical Health & Safety advice to project teams
• Review RAMS and other safety documentation
• Monitor site activities and identify potential risks
• Support incident and near-miss investigations
• Ensure compliance with procedures and legislation
• Collaborate with subcontractors to promote safe practices
• Support toolbox talks and safety briefings
