Health Information Services Officer – Records Storeperson – PPT fixed term

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our medical records team as a records storeperson.

This role is a 6-month fixed-term position, working approximately 2 shifts per week, assisting our team with the accurate storage, tracking, and movement of records within the hospital’s onsite storage and archiving records for offsite storage.

As a Medical Records Store person, your responsibilities will include:

  • Culling of medical records and preparation for archiving to offsite storage
  • Handling, storage, and movement of records within internal storage
  • Handling/movement of archive boxes
  • Ensuring accurate tracking and recording of record movements within specified timeframes
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy storage space at all times
  • Exhibiting excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrating high-level attention to detail
  • Working autonomously and as part of a small team
  • Planning and working within deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
  • Prior experience in a hospital or administrative role
  • Proven ability to complete manual handling tasks safely and effectively
  • Experience with medical records or handling confidential records
  • Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
