Job summary

The Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa is seeking a Health Club Manager to lead our health club and spa operations. You will drive guest satisfaction, safety, and service standards while achieving revenue targets through effective team leadership.

Ideal candidates will have managerial experience in a leisure or spa setting, a passion for health and fitness, and a proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service within a 4-star hotel or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and create a welcoming atmosphere in line with brand standards.
• Supervise safety of guests and members in line with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure reception and guest care are efficiently run during shifts.
• Meet and drive revenue targets as outlined in the activity plan.
• Organise and participate in Leisure & Spa events at the venue.
• Develop and oversee Leisure & Spa collateral and promotions.
• Drive Leisure memberships through sales focus and events.
• Manage Leisure and Spa diary and bookings for maximum revenue.
• Handle Spa enquiries and bookings to optimize profitability.
• Ensure proper usage and recording of facilities by members and staff.
• Sell and promote Leisure memberships and services.
• Provide information on available recreation facilities and activities.
• Observe activity and maintain poolside coverage during shifts.
• Develop classes and lessons to meet member needs.

As our Health Club Manager you will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest's expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of the clubs brand standards. As a result you should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a warm, personable nature and a can do attitude. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.

As our Health Club Manager you will:

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs at all times. Promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all guests.
• Responsible for the supervision & safety of guests and members of the Health Club & Spa in accordance with Company procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
• Ensure that the reception desk is efficiently run, and that guest care & satisfaction are a focus throughout the shift.
• Achieve set Revenue Targets for Business (e.g. conversion ratio) as agreed and set out in the Sales Activity Plan.
• Organise and participate in Leisure & Spa Events at the venue.
• Be responsible for updating and overseeing the production of all Leisure & Spa collateral.
• Drive and retain Leisure memberships, through consistent sales focus and a calendar of events.
• Maintain and manage the Leisure and Spa diary ensuring all bookings are inputted directly upon receipt and updated when necessary.
• Take enquiries and bookings for Spa in an efficient manner and encourage maximum sales revenue for the overall profitability of the hotel.
• Ensure usage by members, guests and staff is properly controlled and efficiently recorded.
• Sell and process Lesiure memberships along with promoting the clubs services.
• Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
• Observe activity in the recreational facility and maintain poolside cover as appropriate during shift.
• Develop classes and lessons throughout the Health Club in line with customer and member needs.
