Position Overview

Band 3 Health Care Assistants are needed to work in the Neuro Enhanced Care Unit on Ward 43. The unit primarily cares for elective and emergency Neurosurgical patients, as well as supporting patients from the Trauma and Neuro Group requiring enhanced observations. The post holder will perform duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting less experienced team members, and adhering to Trust policies.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all patient interactions and observations are communicated to healthcare practitioners.
  • Undertake clinical and non-clinical tasks, expanding responsibilities following training, and refer to healthcare practitioners when necessary.
  • Demonstrate skills such as cannulation and venepuncture for patient management.
  • Organize daily workload, including use and cleaning of equipment.
  • Set up clinics, ensuring they are stocked and prepared.
