Job description

Job Title: Band 3 Health Care Assistant - Neuro Enhanced Care Unit

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking dedicated Band 3 Health Care Assistants to join the Neuro Enhanced Care Unit on Ward 43.

About the Unit: NECU primarily cares for elective and emergency Neurosurgical patients, as well as supporting patients from the Trauma and Neuro Group requiring enhanced observations.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out a wide range of duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  2. Support less experienced team members and adhere to Trust Policies.
  3. Communicate patient interactions and observations to healthcare practitioners.
  4. Perform clinical tasks such as cannulation and venepuncture following training.
  5. Organise daily workload, including equipment management.
  6. Set up and maintain clinics, ensuring they are well stocked.

Additional responsibilities include managing stock, completing documentation accurately, supporting clinical events, maintaining hygiene standards, and participating in team meetings and service development.
