Job summary

Adventist Health Hong Kong is seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities in a clinical setting.

You will assist with feeding, bathing, turning in bed, and other personal care tasks while monitoring intake and output and reporting to nurses. The role requires shift work and reliable attendance in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Cantonese and conversant in English.
• Able to read and write Chinese and have knowledge of English.
• Shift duty is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct personal care and maintain patient well-being (feeding, bathing, turning in bed, etc.).
• Measure patients’ body weight and height; record intake/output for nurses.
• Prepare and conduct routine quality checks on equipment to ensure cleanliness and sterility.
• Ensure adequate supplies for service provision.
• Provide clerical support: appointment booking, data entry, filing and answering inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Duties

• Measure patients’ body weight and height, record intake and output; record and report to nurses
• Prepare and conduct routine quality checking on equipment to ensure clean and sterilize equipment, such as infusion pump and drug trolley, etc.
• Ensure adequate and appropriate supply of materials for service provision
• Provide clerical support, including but not limited to appointment booking, data entry, filing and answering clients’ enquiries
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirement

• Secondary Education
• Health Care Assistant/ Care-related Support Worker Certificate is required
• Fluent in Cantonese, Conversant in English
• Able to read and write Chinese and Knowledge of English
• Shift duty is required
